Sherwood stove
Great question! The fuel to air ratio is very important for a clean hot fire, this may take a little practice to master it , but well worth the effort ! please refer to the Product page for the full use and care instructions. Also see instructions below.
2. Building the Fire
Start with small, dry kindling (twigs, sticks, or wood shavings) place a small amount into the bottom of the stoves fuel chamber. Add slightly larger sticks once the flame is fully established. Use dry hardwood if available for longer, hotter burns. Avoid overloading. Maintain space in the fuel chamber for airflow-the stove is designed to create a natural draft. Too much wood will choke the air supply and reduce efficiency. Feed wood gradually from top opening, allowing for a controlled combustion.
Tip: Proper combustion happens when there's a clean, hot flame with minimal smoke. This means the air-to-fuel ratio is ideal.
